How to identify and avoid fake products


With the increase of high end gadgets and gears, the imitations and counterfeits products also making their way to make profits. Some of these well-crafted fake products are made such that it is very difficult to identify with the real one.

Here are some simple tips to identify and avoid it:
  • Some faked gadgets are: music players, portable memory, handheld game systems, cell phone, laptop batteries, portable hard drives and many more. That means if it is small and popular, then it is ideal to fake. Signs of a fake can be identify from the logos or graphics that out of place and also the descriptions come in poor English.
  • Please do some background checking about the products. Starting from the manufacturers, usually they release some information about counterfeits alerts online. Try to purchase products from the genuine resellers/distributors/dealers.
  • When buying the products please ensure the holograms and verifications to confirm the genuineness of the product. Some manufacturers have an option to verify the product online using the code available on the products. Do not forget the warranty as part of the bargain. It is useful when in case of any problems happen to the products.
  • Check out the actual price from the manufacturers. Beware if the dealers giving you a huge discount, because the chances are there that it could be a fake one.
